Super Bowl Sunday. The day when all the hard work and intense preparation pay off. The day when dreams become reality, when desire fosters greatness. Oh, and there’s also a pretty big football game.
In kitchens across America, cooks bring their culinary A-games to create finger-food masterpieces. Chips and pretzels abound. Dips of all sorts – guacamole, seven-layer, Dubliner Artichoke, French onion – create a veritable United Nations of flavor. Cookies and other confections adorned with team colors serve as edible banners, proclaiming party hosts’ allegiances. Make no mistake about it – this Sunday is the Super Bowl of snack foods. And if you’re hosting a party or contributing a dish to one, you’ll want to make sure it’s a touchdown!
With that in mind, we’ve put together a few recipes that are sure to score big this Super Bowl Sunday.
CASHEL BLUE CHEESE DIP
Since wings are king at a lot of Super Bowl parties, here’s a great little side that just happens to also be great with veggies, bread, even straight off the spoon (we won’t tell, don’t worry).
1 cup Kerrygold Cashel Blue cheese, crumbled
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 dash of Worcestershire sauce
1 jalapeno chile, diced
salt and pepper, to taste
Stir all ingredients together.
If dip is too thick, add more heavy cream to preference
