Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350º F. Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish
  2. Place the chopped apples in a large mixing bowl with 1 quart of water combined with the lemon juice.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, melt the Kerrygold Unsalted Butter. Cook until brown and nutty, 3 to 4 minutes. Set aside.
  4. Drain the apples. In the same bowl, combine the apples, granulated sugar, 2 tablespoons flour, lemon zest, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, and nutmeg. Toss to combine.
  5. Pour into the prepared pan.
  6. In the same mixing bowl, combine the brown sugar, oats, remaining 3/4 cup flour, cinnamon, and salt.
  7. Drizzle the brown butter over the mixture and stir to combine. Sprinkle the mixture evenly over the apples.
  8. Bake for 40 minutes, until the top is toasty and the filling is bubbling. Serve immediately, with vanilla ice cream, if you wish.
