Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350º F. Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish
- Place the chopped apples in a large mixing bowl with 1 quart of water combined with the lemon juice.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt the Kerrygold Unsalted Butter. Cook until brown and nutty, 3 to 4 minutes. Set aside.
- Drain the apples. In the same bowl, combine the apples, granulated sugar, 2 tablespoons flour, lemon zest, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, and nutmeg. Toss to combine.
- Pour into the prepared pan.
- In the same mixing bowl, combine the brown sugar, oats, remaining 3/4 cup flour, cinnamon, and salt.
- Drizzle the brown butter over the mixture and stir to combine. Sprinkle the mixture evenly over the apples.
- Bake for 40 minutes, until the top is toasty and the filling is bubbling. Serve immediately, with vanilla ice cream, if you wish.
