Waffle Instructions:
- Place the flour, baking powder, granulated sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl and whisk to combine.
- Place the melted Kerrygold Salted Butter, milk and eggs in a large bowl and whisk to combine.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix. You can make waffles immediately but the batter will be thin. If you want thicker waffles, cover and refrigerate the batter for at least 2 hours or overnight.
- Preheat the waffle iron and fill each well with ½ cup of batter and spread to cover the grate. Cook until the waffles are golden brown.
- Top with caramelized apples (directions below) and serve.
Caramelized Apples Instructions:
- Melt the Kerrygold Salted Butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- While the butter is melting, toss the apples in a bowl with the brown sugar and cinnamon and stir to coat.
- Add the sugar coated apples to the melted butter and cook for 10 minutes or until the sauce has caramelized and thickened slightly.
- Serve immediately over the cinnamon waffles.
